Production Team Leader.

Location: Cleckheaton, BD19 4TT.
Hours per week: 36 1/4 paid hours per week.
Contract Status: Permanent.
Reporting to: Shift Manager.

The Role.

To oversee the effective running of Production line production a wide range of Hair and Skincare Products. Ensuring high standards of Quality, Health & Safety compliance to all company policies, procedures and work instructions at all times.

The Responsibilities.

Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
Employ a proactive approach to reduce potential hazards.
Reporting near misses and ensuring all machines have the relevant safety guards on, in full working order and all documentation is completed.
Assume full responsibility for the quality of any product produced under your management.
Carry out weight checks in line with average fill legislation, ensuring details are recorded and any anomalies are communicated and resolved immediately.
Ensure you and your team are familiar with product standard sheet and any specific risks before running, by way of a full team brief at the start of each production run or shift.
Manage and motivate the team, giving feedback, direction, coaching and training as necessary.
Monitor line efficiencies against set line run rates and report hourly production figures. Communicate any inaccuracies, problems, trends, investigate and resolve issues immediately.
Ensuring adherence to daily production plan.

Any other duties as required as set out by the Shift Production Manager.

The Skills.

Two years of manufacturing/production experience in an FMCG environment.
Proven leadership skills.
Good Health & Safety awareness.
A flexible approach and a proactive attitude.
Good communication, well organised, with excellent attention to detail.
