Line Setter

The Line Setter is responsible for ensuring production lines are set up, maintained, and operated efficiently to maximise product output while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires proactive problem-solving, frontline maintenance, and strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations. The Line Setter will work closely with the Engineering Manager to support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Responsibilities.

• Set up production lines in as per Line set up sheets to ensure maximum efficiency and quality in line with product specifications.
• Monitor line performance, ensuring efficient operation and minimal downtime.
• Identify and resolve machinery issues promptly to maintain smooth production flow.
• Perform frontline preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality standards.
• Develop and update setup procedures for different products, ensuring clear guidance for operational consistency.
• Communicate any changes or adaptations to machinery to relevant team members.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production targets and improve overall efficiency.

• Available to work overtime including but not limited to being available to work alternate Saturdays following early shift.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

The Skills.

• Experience in a liquid filling production environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic maintenance practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
