The International Logistics/Shipping Clerk is responsible for organising and monitoring incoming shipments from our Far East suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery to both our UK and US sites.
This role requires close collaboration with our Accounts team to manage related proforma and balance invoices. Additionally, the clerk will offer assistance with shipping componentry from the UK to the US as needed, and provide ad-hoc procurement support, including annual leave cover.
– Organise and monitor incoming shipments from Far East suppliers by liaising with and requesting quotes from our preferred freight forwarder.
– Communicate with logistics partners and suppliers to resolve any shipment issues or delays.
– Liaise with the Accounts team to ensure accurate processing of invoices related to incoming shipments on a proforma basis.
– Maintain records of all shipping documents and invoices for auditing purposes.
– Assist with shipping componentry from the UK to the US as required, including raising USATRANSFERS for efficient processing based on our production schedule.
– Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards during shipping processes.
– Provide ad-hoc procurement support as necessary, helping to streamline operations and maintain workflow.
– Cover for team members during annual leave, ensuring continuity in logistics operations.
